How to set up a custom domain, and host your website free-for-life on Github

I have failed for 4 months before I could figure out this cant-be-no-more-detailed guide.

Many of my friends buy yearly hosting plans to host their websites. If you have a huge e-commerce website, then you should purchase hosting plan. However, if you only want to host your personal website, you can just simply spend a few dollars buying a domain and host it free for life with GitHub Pages. You can even get free domains from Github as written in my previous post.

  1. Create a GitHub account and your first repositories

If you are new to GitHub, create a free account and then create your first repository

Input your information and click “Sign up for Github”.
Click “Create repository” to create your first one

Name your repository as <your-github-username>.github.io. For example, my username is rosyhnguyen, so I name my repository as rosyhnguyen.github.io. Choose…
