The Front Steps Project

Rev. Dr. Larry Glass and Angela Glass have observed the pandemic from two important perspectives. He is the head pastor at Zion Star Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas and she is a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU at BAMC.

Pastor Glass shares the logistical and emotional challenges of ministering to his congregation virtually. His church is entering month six of virtual church, and he is thankful to have a tech-savvy team to help keep the church connected.

Angela Glass reveals her experience caring for some of the most vulnerable lives in our population and how her hospital manages PPE care and sanitization to make supplies last.

At the end of the day, their advice to the community is to stay patient and positive as we work together through this pandemic.

The purpose of The Front Steps Project is to document the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on individuals in my community. No one is exempt from being affected in some way by the fall out from this virus. This is history. These are our stories.

The Front Steps Project was started by Massachusetts-based photographer, Cara Soulia.
