Sharing your solution with the Frontend Mentor and wider development communities is an exciting part of building our projects. There are so many ways you could go about it, so we've created this guide to help you make a choice.

We've separated our options by "recommended" and "trusted" providers. Our recommended providers are selected either because of simplicity or because they're professional tools that are good to know as a front-end developer (or both!).

Our trusted providers are other options for sharing your solution if you choose not to follow our recommendations.

Unfortunately, you can't post your solution to the Frontend Mentor platform if you're not using one of our recommended or trusted providers.

This means that if you're hoping to share your solution from your own URL, you'd need to use one of the providers listed when submitting your solution. You can still host the project on your own site, but you will need to use one of the following providers to share it on the platform.

Recommended hosts

GitHub Pages

This is arguably the easiest way to create a live URL for your project. Go to Settings on your repository, scroll down to the GitHub Pages section and configure it to track your main/master branch.

As soon as it's all hooked up, you'll be able to see your project using the URL GitHub provides!

Vercel

Vercel is doing incredible things in the front-end ecosystem. They're a top-class tool that we'd recommend getting to know and playing around with.

They make it easy to connect your repo (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket) and publish to a live URL.

For more information on getting set up, head over to the Vercel documentation.

Netlify

Netlify is another incredible tool worth getting to know as a front-end developer. It's effortless to connect your repo and publish it to a live URL that will track any changes you make to your code.

To get set up with Netlify, check out the Netlify docs.

Trusted hosts

If you prefer not to use one of our recommended hosts, you can also publish your solution on Frontend Mentor using any of the following tools:

Updating existing solutions

You may already have solutions submitted on the platform that doesn't use one of the above providers. If this is the case, you'll need to use one of them to make updates to your solution from now on.

Where to go for help

If you need any help or have questions, please feel free to ask questions in our Slack community's help channel.
