Describe your art in a tweet:
‘‘Drifting through the uncanny valley, somewhere bellow the digital divide — bewildered and overwhelmed by the maximal quality of life.”

What is your definition of the word “art”?

An authentic expression of self

For how long have you been an artist?

… for as long as I can remember? Although, it took many years to get real with that. You sometimes have to run yourself into a few brick walls before you’re ready to honestly express yourself, in whatever way feels right to you.

What are the pros and cons of going into your practice in an entrepreneurial way?

I find social media difficult, that may seem counter intuitive for a digital artist. It’s stressful watching real time analytics of ‘apparent’ social value via # of likes/ followers.

The good news is, I put in the time and hard work

What inspires you daily?

Pain, pleasure, absurdity. The bracing nature of nothingness and the unlikely glow of computer blue.

What is your greatest challenge?

Getting out of my own way.

How do you keep overcoming that challenge?

Keeping App blockers on at all times.

What is the most exciting part of your creative process?

Moving past the obsession and planning into execution mode. Making is when mistakes are made, accidents occur, honesty presents itself, and something beyond me emerges.

What recently came true into your life that you would never have thought possible?

During the past two months, several of the pillars on which I have built my life crumbled, or changed drastically. Many of the external things I attached myself to are now gone. To the degree of which my faith is being tested I hadn’t expected at this juncture. Although, I am grateful and constantly baffled by the opportunities that have arisen from the chaos.

Which art current or trend are you currently excited about?

Maximalism, digital collage, illustration and the backs of peoples heads.

What would you like to see more of in the art world/industry?

Maximalims, digital collage, illustration and the backs of peoples heads.

Which artist would you want the world to discover?

Lido Pimienta

Sophia Katz

Carson Teal

What can we wish you?

Please, let Trudy survive the next 6 months. Bless her with insight, bravery and heart……..and sound night sleeps.
