“Come for coffee, stay for adventure”. Nestled in Wynwood, Brothers & Brawlers has become the latest male, concept, unconventional store for fashion and coffee lovers. Its motto says it all: the unique vibe, the distinctive décor and products, and of course, the great coffee, offers the ultimate retail therapy for guys in Miami.

Who is the man behind this unconventional concept?

Sebastian Tatano-Ramirez is the genius behind this concept. Before shifting to Miami with his family, he was working as the creative director for Alexander Nash. Style has always been the lifeblood in his family; if his grandfather was dandy, his father was always dressed to impress. Naturally, Sebastian Tatano-Ramirez could not grow up otherwise- even sunny Miami cannot hold him from sporting a three-piece suit.

He felt the urge to convey a lifestyle

Sebastian Tatano-Ramirez wanted to offer men the manly dream of having a top coffee shop, clothing store, and masculine retreat at the same place, with all-in coziness. He started with a sunglass line- Dirocco Eyewear- and instead of looking for retailers around the city, he decided to open his own store that would offer a masculine atmosphere for his clients, apart from just selling products. And faithful to his nature and creativity, his store could not be of the conventional type.

Little boys’ dreams come true at his store: apart from the manly name of the shop, the place once even had a Land Rover for a phone booth, which was later sold. Then, there is the suit room named Brawlers Row, a coffee bar and a place to chill. It even welcomes those who just need a place to hang out, and not necessarily buy sunglasses.

Brothers & Brawlers is a place to cultivate creativity

Having worked as a professional creative director, Sebastian Tatano-Ramirez dreamed of setting up a haven that would reflect all the creativity he nurtures inside of him. He strongly wanted to divert away from the traditional concept of the store where walls are covered with posters of models and products are displayed in an atmosphere that offers nothing fresh and new. His idea of uniqueness goes beyond the boundaries of a simple traditional store. In his mind, his store should also be a place where people just feel good to be. It could be a place to hang out or to work. And thus, the coffee shop, the chilling space and the store are all seamlessly blended with each other. Everything is equally for sale, from the light fixtures to the restored couches.

Clients and visitors are welcomed by vintage motorcycles, racks of clothes, and a tailoring studio apart from the coffee bar. The success of the idea is also to offer clients tailor-made coffee as per the exact preferences of guests focusing on Eastlick Coffee and Panther Coffee…There is also the original Coca Cola and Sprite versions, along with doughnuts from Ella Café.
