Yet another great TypeScript guide, A11Y cheat-sheet, create-react-app-2, and another great stuff from the front-end world…

News

Have a look at an extensive Typescript guide packed with a lot of features, based on the author’s own experience, as well as issues raised on various community resources.

Meanwhile, Facebook unveiled the source code of Skip, an experimental, statically typed language. The main feature is built-in memoization and cache invalidation. By the way, slogan of this language is really awesome: “skip the things you have already computed.”

Microsoft has published a guide for developers about innovations in Microsoft Edge 18. Check out updates of the developer tools.

Do you work with an A11Y compatibility? We highly recommend you to save this brief A11Y cheat-sheet. It also contains a minimum set of approaches for testing and validation.

Almost a week has passed since the release of Create React App 2, and we are pretty much sure that you did have a chance to work with it. The list of changes is really significant and, as the main contributors say, this is the result of an one year work. Although, it is already in production, you might face with some problems. Help the community — test it on your project and, if something went wrong, send an issue.

In issue #182 we mentioned the new Plug’n’Play idea at yarn. It is actively being developed and has been already shipped into the code base of the project. You can learn how to use it with this Github Gist or with this example application. By the way it works great with the Create React App 2. And here, for example, how things are going with Angular.

Events

We always share some cool upcoming conferences or videos from the previous ones. However, we might miss something, so you can always check this YouTube (mostly, but not only) channels for front-end developers.
