What you need to know about our bots
Spoiler alert: they aren’t the holy grail, but they are powerful.
We want to educate our FrostFlakes community on our bots, or as we like to call it, The Bot Army.
This may involve busting some fallacies, and crushing some dreams, but it is healthy and sets the right expectations.
We are extremely confident in our bots, but we also think it is important to set the record straight about them, and particularly given the nature of this current bear market.
Bots, bots, and AI bots. All the rage in DeFi, crypto, and those in search of the “holy grail” of passive income.
The number one misconception of the “holy” bot is that it can be configured to replace [or more-so, outperform] the strategy and skill of a “human trader” and that only a single bot is needed to adapt to the needs of the market at any given time. In other words, that the bot is the ultimate “set it and forget it” vehicle to becoming rich. Cue in: all the extremely well marketed “1-click deploy your own trading bot and get rich” services.
This is not quite the case, but bots are pretty incredible technology, and they definitely earn their place as valid profit-generating tools, which we will be utilizing heavily with FrostFlakes.
We have 16 bots up and running, with new bots joining our bot army every couple of days.
What are bots?
Bots are programs that automate trades based on how they are configured. The baseline for our bots is that they are configured to execute profitable trades only. The amount of profit generated from each bot as indicated on our bot dashboard will only go higher. Boom!
Being that bots can execute trades automatically, 24/7, and across a variety of trading pairs, bots are valuable because they automate what a human (or team) would have an extremely difficult time doing on their own. This is the beauty of bots: they make our trading strategy more effective, and they can become better with technology.
The most important thing to understand about bots: bots help traders automate trades. They do not replace traders, and are only as good as they are configured, to execute a given trading strategy.
At FrostFlakes, our bots help us execute our overall trading strategy, which allows us to earn profit despite the conditions of the market. Our bots thrive in sideways and upwards market conditions, but they also work in worse conditions. So long as the trading pairs aren’t losing 70% of their value over the course of a few weeks, we expect our bots to perform.
Our bots are advanced to the point where we can not configure them by using consumer bot-configuration platforms. They are not out of the box, cookie-cutter, bots. They are custom, and coded from scratch, like all other parts of our project.
Not all our bots have the same configurations, or strategies. This is really important to understand: bots automate the strategies we configure within them. This means we are strategic about our bots, and diversify their strategies. We don’t expect bots to be “magic”, because we know they are automation tools, but we do expect them to make our strategies extremely efficient, due to their ability to automate trades!
Our strategies evolve based on our learnings, and our learnings are constantly accumulating and being challenged, because of how quickly the market moves. The fast-paced nature and volatility of the market brings about its own natural consequences: rapidly changing investor mindsets, trends, risks, trading technologies, trading pairs, projects, tokens and their corresponding tokenomics, and new features within projects themselves.
DeFi is crazy and we love it.
To be a competitive trading service in this space means knowing the ins and outs of the overall crypto market, and/or a particular sector, not just relying on a bot which can only possibly follow its own configuration and which does not know how to take into account many other important factors. There is a lot we are taking into account, and we are improving our understanding and bot-strategy with every day that goes by.
