One local start-up that’s beginning to pick up traction in Tallahassee is called Tresta. Tresta an application that helps make starting a business a little easier by turning an ordinary cellphone into your new business phone.

I have had the pleasure of exploring this app after being tasked with researching and preparing Domi Station’s switch to a new phone system. This app is for sure a top competitor with the big dogs, from being able to choose whether you want to use a local city number or toll-free to being able to record calls and send them to your email, mobile app/web app, or to specific people within the company. Even though it was my first time ever seeing a system like Tresta I was able to become comfortable with it within no more than 2 hours. It helped that a few voice prompts were pre-made, so it made customizing the numerous auto-attendants happen a lot quicker than having to record extra prompts.

The next week I presented a demo featuring a sample system I made, a quick tour on how to use the system, and exactly how the call flow system would work. The very next day the Executive Director, Antonio Montoya, lets me know that they contacted the creator of Tresta to offer a partnership where they intended to help develop the company further and in return, Domi Station would be able to use the product for free when they would have had to pay $26 monthly for four people not including the rest of the building’s staff.

In summation, the Tresta business phone conversion application makes owning a business a little less stressful by being easy to use, customizable, and available to all for a reasonable price starting at just under $20 for one person.
