Tricky moral issues married with pure visual pleasure

PERFECT manages to marry realism and suspense, a love and a crime story, a weird almost quadratic aspect ratio and a well composed, often strong and beautiful and always meaningful mise-en-scene as well as tricky philosophical, moral issues and pure and sexy visual pleasure.

It wowed me, made me feel for and fall in love with its characters wonderfully incorporated by the cast (especially John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis are just lovely), kept my mind asking what´s going to happen next, made me chew my nails and go all goose pimply at the end. I love it when a film does that — after all those hundreds, maybe thousands of them I watched. It reminds me what this medium is capable of and what it is about for me. PERFECT is vivid, smart, full of energy, a very deep story told very light and bright without ignoring its shadows.
