Q. How your journey as a creator started?

A. It started as soon as I learned to program, back when I was 14–15 years old. I’d written small programs for DOS and tried to make it look as professional as possible. With help docs, installers, etc.

Q. What’s the first thing you had created/built?

A. There were a few things I had built like there was a personal accounting program for dos which was named Tallyman lol. It had only one user: me :)

But the next project that I built was used by a lot of people was a Persian-English dictionary for Windows. It had text-to-speech and an extension for IE!

Q. What’s something you learnt/realized recently that you wish you learnt/realized much earlier?

A. Well, that’d be “Learning how to market/promote my products”.

Q. What do you love to do when not working? Any hobbies you want to share?

A. Going go gym and hanging out with friends are my main hobbies.

Q. Can you tell a bit about Volt.fm?

A. It gives people a way to present themselves musically. Artists they love, songs they listen to, and the playlists they have curated.

Q. What are you reading these days?

A. It might sound silly, but I’m not reading anything these days as my iPad stopped working a while ago. But before that I was reading How I Raised Myself From Failure to Success in Selling and Sapiens.

Q. What’s the one mistake you have done and will advice others not to repeat that?

A. I think it’s the same mistake developer-turned-entrepreneur makes: spending too much time building something that nobody wants.

Q. What would you recommend to others who are looking to start their careers in the startup/SaaS space on how to go about it?

A. I’d recommend them to just keep building and working on new ideas. Don’t wait for the perfect idea. With each project you’ll learn a lot that will help you with the next one.

Q. Suppose there is a big whiteboard in front of you. What’s the first line you would like to write?

A. Just Keep Building and Working on New Ideas, Don’t Wait for the Perfect Idea.
