Creating a wallet is a necessity when you enter the world of Web3. It’s a gate to the blockchain and apps you want to use. However, managing your account might be challenging for newbies in crypto. If all the 12-word seed phrases, long private keys, and passwords are still confusing, this article is what you need. Here we’ll briefly show how to never lose access to your funds in Fuelet Wallet.

Easy for Beginners: Seedless Account Security

With Fuelet Wallet Cloud Backup feature, it’s possible to securely store your private key on your Google Drive for Android or in the iCloud for iOS without typing it in there manually or writing it down which helps you to avoid risks associated with it. Like, your data being compromised by a malicious app that can copy everything from your clipboard or your seed phrase being captured in photo by someone behind you. The Cloud Backup also allows you to create a new wallet in seconds. Note that this feature is not available for Chrome.

Follow these few easy steps to activate Cloud Backup:

  1. Click on the upper left button with your wallet address in the main menu.
  2. Click on the 3 dots next to a needed wallet.
  3. Choose “Account Security” menu.
Turn on the Cloud Backup, steps 1–3

4. Click on a “Cloud Backup” tab and then a “Create Cloud Backup” button.

5. For Android, choose your Google account. No need to do it for the iPhone.

6. Click on “Backup Wallet” button.

Turn on the Cloud Backup, steps 4–6

Done! You’ve saved your wallet seed phrase without copying it. This is a somewhat centralised way to keep your wallet’s private keys but let’s be honest: it’s easier to loose a paper with the seed phrase written down there then for Apple or Google to compromise your data.

It is the first level of Seedless Account Security in Fuelet. We’ll also implement such features as Hardware Signer and Social Recovery with 2FA via your phone number and email. You can learn more about Seedless Security Methods in our wallet in the Medium article here.

Treat your seed phrase as a valuable possession, and it will mitigate the risk of accidental loss or theft.
