The first part made an overview of the existing approaches to bootstrap the adoption of a protocol and introduced our idea to distribute part of the community allocation to early Fuji users.

Climber’s Creed

Risk is inherent in climbing. There is so much uncertainty related to the weather, the conditions and one’s health that there is only so much a climber can control. And despite our best judgment, we’re always rolling the dice when it comes to big mountains. As climbers, we like to think we are in total control and that our decisions are justified. But in reality, the mountains are in control, and we weave our way through their edges, hoping to remain unharmed on our way to the summit. 🧗

Climbing Rules and Mechanics

With this campaign, we want to go beyond regular liquidity mining programs or airdrops and conduct it in a more innovative and engaging way.

It will take place next month on the Fantom network and will be open to anyone using Fuji for borrowing. The goal is to climb as high as one can, there are no limits. Climbers are free to reach stratospheric levels or even go to the moon if they like. The main idea here is to reach the summit of Fuji!

Users are climbing by accumulating meter points which are done in a quite simple way: just open a debt position on Fuji Fantom. For every dollar of debt, you climb by a meter per day, so for a week with $100 of outstanding debt, the user advances by 700 meters (7 days x 100). This resumes the base mechanics of the campaign, but there is another part that makes the play more fun and allows different kind of users to devise their own strategies.

As we mentioned before, the Climbing of Fuji isn’t coming without any risks, just like the DeFi borrowing market. We could all come across market turbulences, and we should take care of the safety of our loans, protecting them from being liquidated, in order to climb comfy and to be sure to reach the top together.

Once you start climbing safely (or not…👀), you’ll be able to open some crates along the road using your climbing points. Inside, you may find some Climbing gears (NFTs) to accelerate the pace of your journey, or crates containing some additional points, but beware, opening an empty crate means you’d lose your points.

🗻 Join the Climbing today!

The Fantom Expedition will last for several weeks, during which we’ll pass through many obstacles together, leading to the next phases, that we keep for when the time comes. 😉

While the Expedition hasn’t officially started, we are already gathering internally to prepare for D-Day. We count on you for joining, and everyone is welcome to support the journey with their own skills.
