In honor of B Corporation month and reaching over 2,000 total certified businesses in the world, Fulcrum wants to celebrate by sharing a few of our favorite ice cream and brew #BCorpBuddies!

New Belgium Brewing

Third largest craft brewer in the country, New Belgium Brewing aspires to make world-class beers while focusing on people and minimizing their environmental footprint. Though they have always donated $1 for every barrel of beer produced to nonprofit organizations, they have recently become a 100% employee owned company — demonstrating their commitment to people and community. Last year, they collaborated with fellow B Corp buddy, Ben & Jerry’s, to create “Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale.” Not only does the collaboration fuse together our two loves of beer and ice cream, but supports the fight against climate change!

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream

In 1988, Ben & Jerry’s was one of the first companies in the world to place a social mission in equal importance to it’s product and profits. Believing in linked prosperity for all stakeholders to prosper as they prosper–the people who produce ingredients, the employees who make the product, and the communities in which the company resides. Ben & Jerry’s donates thousands of dollars (and hours) to charitable causes each year, and actively fights to combat climate change through their collaborative ice cream-brew with New Belgium Brewing.

Commonhouse Ales

Beer is good, but beer for good is better. That’s the mission of pending Columbus B Corp, Commonhouse Ales, to use beer as a force for good. For every six-pack sold of their signature Six. One For Good ale, $1 will be attributed to the Common Shares fund–donating proceeds to Central Ohio nonprofits. Fulcrum Creatives is proud to work with Commonhouse, creating their name and identity, packaging and website.

Jeni’s Ice Creams

Fulcrum’s favorite local ice cream shop, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams makes every batch of ice cream by hand in Columbus Ohio with carefully sourced ingredients from around the world. Jeni’s believes in paying fair wages for ingredients, limiting their impact on the environment and building a strong community. Look for scoop shops across the 8 cities in the U.S. or their online shop to order a pint. We highly recommend trying the Salty Caramel, Black Cat Espresso or lemon & blueberries frozen yogurt!
