Discomfort Sucks

The economy of the Western world would collapse if we didn’t hate being uncomfortable. Innovators, engineers, and marketers are out in force providing ways for us to be more comfortable. Billions are spent on fleece pjs, Lazy Boy recliners, and McMansions with tankless water heaters. Not only do we crave physical comfort, but we want our tasks to be easier and quicker.

Why go to a local retailer when you can order whatever you need from Amazon while cuddled in your pjs from your recliner in your McMansion? And what about this: Why won’t they invent something even faster than a microwave? I get antsy waiting thirty whole seconds to warm up my leftovers from Grubhub. I want it now.
