February = 2
Sometimes I wonder if the people who set February up as the shortest month of the year did so as a psychological trick to make us think we’re getting to spring faster. If that’s the case then the ploy works for me. Seeing fewer squares on the calendar page for this month helps me rally through it knowing March will be here soon.
Aside from leap year, February also holds the distinction of having its 28 days divided perfectly within the month. This makes for tidy calendar math — no loose days dangling outside its four weeks.
Yep, I’m weird. I think about months this way.
№. 6 || On the Rocks
I enjoy it when bars devise clever names for their drink concoctions. A local place near me takes the cake for creativity with drinks called Lucky You, Make My Day, and You’re a Daisy if You Do. I smile every time I read their drink menu.
The lively atmosphere and cheerful staff complete the scene and fortunately, the tasty drinks live up to their names.
