52-Week Photography Project For May 2025
What do the prompts have in store for us this month?
May
18- It’s all in the details.
When you’re a fungi forager, you need to 1) know your stuff, 2) pay attention to your surroundings, and 3) pay attention to details — because it’s all in the details. Fungi can be fun, but some are toxic if ingested.
It had not rained in days, and this shelf fungus was found in the late afternoon, growing on a tree trunk. The clear droplets are the resinous fluid that exudes from the fungi. It was the first time I found this type of fungus.
19- Mirror Mirror on the Wall
Living in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, like I do, we are treated to days when the lake is so still it is like glass — or a mirror. This was the scene directly across from our dock several years ago, on the small lake on which we live.
