A cottage on a lake, to balance city life.
Nature, just outside the door.
The sounds that nature makes are quiet-nice
Sounds and sites that soothes the very core.
The lake has rhythm, a calm before the storm.
Fog to mist water in the air
Moisture takes the ground from moss to fern.
Cottage lives inside the land they share
Progress has a way of changing things
New foundation, solid firm and strong
Cottage change to home, also brings
Insulation, from nature and the song.

One is anxious, where could be the bus
Two is worried, hold the neck in stress
Three is patient, crossed legs in repose
She’s the most natural, one here I suppose
Four still stressful, in a stressful way
Five sees tension, talk can save the day
Six feels relationship, just inside a phone
Tall man white shirt, wishes he was home
All just standing, in an ordinary world
No standing, no standing, ordinary world.

No.-26 This Lovely Mess
Has anyone recently wiped ice cream from a child’s face? Perhaps, sensing their brief flirtation with impatience, to get back to the frozen delight. The wonderous smiles of full enjoyment. Pure satiation known so well by the young.
There can be no future, no past only the all-encompassing thoughts of the present. Fully intent on being ‘at one’ with ice cream.
It’s a wonderful experience this Lovely Mess.
Of course for a Grandpa every interaction is wonderful.
And for the record, in this case, it’s frozen yogurt. You know…healthy.
