Preamble

Since I joined Medium in January 2024, I have been mainly publishing stories about my approach to street photography.

Often in my stories, I deconstruct my own photography and extract from that exercise examples and lessons learned.

The reasons that I write those stories are twofold.

They are shared with my readers with the hope that they can inspire them in their photography journeys.

But, they are also a way for me to slow down and reflect on my work and the directions that I am taking.

Today I am about to start a parallel journey.

I will be writing short stories about what I see and feel when looking at selected photographs from my own street portfolio and also from other street photographers who I appreciate.

Ultimately a photograph to work should be about 20% technicality and 80% emotion.

These short stories will be about those 80%.

I trust that I can also bring you along on this journey.
