And We’re Off For Another Round of the 52-Week Challenge

If you’re new to Medium or my profile, you’re about to discover a bunch of passionate photographers and some damn fine shots. I’m not the only writer who loves to share their photos and use them as headline pictures or the foundation for a story — or ten.

I may be a point-and-click gal — and usually with my iPhone — but thanks to the Full Frame 52-week challenge last year, I became more confident with my abilities to capture a decent pic.

This challenge blends writing, photography and interpretation. There is no wrong answer — thankfully! Rodrigo S-C has established a list of ‘project tasks’ for each week of the year and our job as writers is to participate by sharing a photograph representing the theme.

You can be an eager beaver, a turtle or a hare; it’s completely up to you.

Last year, I started late as I was intimidated; this pub has some mighty fine photographers here. I hesitantly offered my first story, got caught up in the hoopla and managed to complete all the challenges. The team here is supportive and welcoming so give it a shot — literally!

I’m here again for the 2024 tasks. Let’s get going with January!
