Have you heard? Things are about to change. And they may impact you. The Boost Nomination Pilot Project has hinted at some significant changes starting this October.

To be fair, Ariel Meadow Stallings — the lovely person who manages the project — has announced a meeting for Nommers to discuss the changes. That is good because I‘d like to know more about this questionable proposed change:

We will be shifting the policy in October to make it so that nominators can only submit stories from their publications.

I have issues with this as it will negatively impact Nommers from smaller publications. Also, writers who self-publish would be excluded from the Boost program. Unless I’m missing something this policy does not seem to help anybody. On the contrary, it punishes Nommers and writers.

I am not alone in the assessment. Other Nommers have similar concerns. We will see where this goes. I will keep you posted.

Record numbers

We welcomed many new writers to Full Frame this month, some of whom contributed their first story to our pub. If you see a new name on a story please support those Framers. That’s how we build community.
