The dog days of August tempt me with indoor hideaways. Still, the gentle lapping of the water whispers a sad reminder.

Stay out here, in the light, for as long as possible. Before it gives way — the days grow shorter, and soon, summer will hand off the seasonal baton.

Slow down, be with me and let this beautiful moment wash over you, untethered — free from the pull of the past or future.

Tomorrow will be as it is.

Today couldn’t be more perfect for a beach day, with the sun shining and the calm blending of blues.
