Chasing the Stars: My Journey to Becoming an Astrophotographer

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could capture images like the one above, and also the ones that I will share throughout this writing. Falling into the abyss of night sky photography was an accident. I was a pretty accomplished photographer up to this point, but unexpected life changes stepped in and I had to give it all up, or so I thought.
When my third son was born, he had a condition called hemophilia, which is when the body's ability to clot during a bleed is not possible. This required constant care and supervision and I no longer could commit to weddings and photography jobs.
One day, I had the incredible thought, what if I turned my focus to nighttime photography? I could do this when everyone was safe in their beds and not worry about anything.
