Deep Shadows and a Purple Spectre

This month I’ve had plenty of opportunities to try the new Fujifilm X100VI. From a weekend in London to a week on the Baltic coast of Poland, the clear skies have yielded crisp images and deep shadows. And the iPhone has mostly stayed in my pocket!

10-It’s an uphill battle

Walking from Greenwich to Woolwich takes you past the Tarmac plant at Charlton. It’s the place to visit if you need “high-quality concrete”. At 3:30 pm the lowering sun cast deep shadows from these stairways, multiplying the sense of an uphill battle.

I used f/16 and dropped a third of a stop; it’s still sharp despite a shutter speed of 1/50.
