I recently wrote an article about using a 125 mm full-frame equivalent lens for street photography. While not a unique approach, it’s not very wide-spread, either.

But that’s just one of my approaches to street photography. Varha Abd Selam wrote an interesting article on her mixed feelings about the genre and it inspired me to write this article to give my previous one more context.

Traditionally, street photographs are made with lenses providing a relatively wide field-of-view — like a 50mm, a 35mm or even a 25mm — that would be a 35mm, 25mm and 18mm for an APS-C sensor camera like the one I use (Sony a6600).
