The author is prepared for battle with a helmet and shield, just like the knights who say “ni.” Lincoln Cathedral in England. Photo owned by the author.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” ― Albert Einstein

Would a knight ever have marched into battle without a suit of armor, helmet, shield, and sword?

Never. Suppress the thought.

Would a professional pilot launch an aircraft before satisfying each line on a preflight checklist?

Of course not. The idea of it is ludicrous.

Has a scout ever entered the woods on a camping trip without a sleeping bag?

Why would they? A scout’s hallmark is being prepared.

Could an oil painter paint En plein air without an easel, brushes, paints, palette, and canvas?

How could they? They live for their art.

Have you ever arrived at a location to take photographs and found you have left a critical piece of kit behind?

I have. Such a ridiculous man.
