I am like many Full Framers. Sometimes I have visions of going professional. You know, making money with my fantastically marvelous creative abilities, creating photos, bringing the world to life. I am sort of there, as a creator in the Medium ecosphere, taking photos to complement my stories. I mean, I get paid, though not a lot.
That changed earlier this year, but not in the way you would think. No, I didn’t start doing wedding photos or get an invitation from someone viewing my work on social media platforms. Rather, I received a request from a friend who needed photos documenting his drilling operations in Europe. A subsurface investigation providing data to engineers designing foundations for a major facility.
As part of his effort, he needed a photographer to document the activities, as well as provide images for his client. Those images had to be suitable for shareholders’ updates and public release documents.
An interesting challenge.
