The Art That Showed Up on My Windshield

I slid into my car seat one cold morning last month after a night of hearing sleet bounce on my bedroom windows. A layer of ice coated my windshield.

I sighed. How annoying.

Scraping is useless against this thick stuff until the heater kicks in enough to start the melting process so I was held captive in my driver’s seat for the next few minutes.

As I settled in and waited,

Could I create art while sitting in my car, waiting for the dang-blasted ice to melt?

While I paused to consider this thought, I focused my gaze on the annoying stuff on my windshield. As I stared at the sight right before my eyes, my heart suddenly softened.

Wow.

That layer of ice shifted from annoying to breathtaking. I pulled out my iPhone and snapped a shot.
