What to Do if No One Cares About Your Photography
Maybe some of these tips could help
These days, everyone has a cousin who is a photographer. If you even want to drill down further, everyone owns a camera-equipped smartphone, making just about anyone a photographer.
That means more pictures online, more content about photos, and more people to compete with if you want to enjoy any relevance as a photographer.
Yes, you can set yourself apart and do all the many nice things, but what if no one cares about your photography (just yet)?
No one owes you any duty of care
As a photographer, no one owes your endeavor or business any TLC. It’s a dream to assume people will like you and care about your photography, no strings attached.
Like many things in life, you must earn that care, usually the hard way. Wake up!
Just as you’re not obligated to fawn over any creator and their work, the same measuring stick applies to you. Get comfortable with that fact, settle it in your heart, and have peace of mind.
That said, it would feel heartbreaking if you know you’re doing your best to push your craft forward, but no one cares.
