Upon constant requests from our listeners, this episode is dedicated exclusively to what LIP does best: postulating about the most mundane things possible! Neil and Nicola kick things off by discussing the usage of emojis in texts (5:45). When are they most effective? Are they open to misinterpretation? The journey veers off into ruminating on the power of the perfectly (or poorly) executed GIF as well as the uptake of the voice note as a potentially annoying alternative to the standard text.

It only gets more mundane from there as we seek to optimize our toothbrushing techniques to a coordinated cringe from the dentistry community (21:15). Postulations are numerous, including how many times you should wet a toothbrush, how often do we really brush for 2 full minutes and whether dentists have been trolling us about flossing all along.

We end things by taking a trip to a petrol station in Wales and analyzing some bizarre Google reviews (39:28) as part of what will become a recurring segment. Send us your mundane postulations and Google reviews to our twitter account @InPostulation and via email lostinpostulation@gmail.com! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
