A challenge to community broadcasters from the NFCB

The Media Consortium’s April, 2016 annual conference included a full day’s training facilitated by Race Forward. TMC reached beyond its membership to include other independent media colleagues — including Sally Kane, CEO of the National Federation of Community broadcasters. Kane’s post-training reflections include a challenge to community broadcasters: “Summon all the courage you can muster to tell the stories of the people whose stories are not told. It is your duty and privilege to do so, and there is no one out there who will do it for us.”
