In recent centuries, the United States has been regarded as a land of opportunity, with enormous potential for prosperity.

Americans began to be optimistic about their future after writing the Declaration of Independence and winning the Revolutionary War, focusing on the rights to liberty, life, and the pursuit of happiness.

Culturally, the country is defined by a sense of freedom that includes “freedom of speech, expression, and press,” as well as a blending of cultural backgrounds and ethnicities known as the “melting pot.”

At the same time, it has incredible biodiversity and extraordinary landmarks such as hot deserts, cool beaches, rolling grasslands, a tropical rain forest, polar tundra, and active volcanic areas.

Even though the United States is a “young nation,” it is full of treasures. Here are some interesting facts you may not have known.
