Thank you everyone for participating in August’s All-Hands meeting via Zoom. In case you have missed the live session you can watch it here:

  1. July’s FXDM and Function X 1st Anniversary update:

The winners of both July’s FXDM and f(x)Core 1st year Anniversary have been announced. Thank you all for the amazing content created and contributions. We have received over 90 submissions, which makes it the highest record so far. A total amount of 24,423 FX tokens have been distributed in total to the winners.

Also, worth mentioning that if you are interested to check out the winning content for Function X official channels you can see here.

We look forward to your creativity in developing Function X related content. You can submit your creation on the FXDM website: fxdm.functionx.io

2. Development Updates

The USDT proposal has passed. The purpose of the proposal is to merge USDT from Ethereum, Polygon and Tron into FX-USDT via f(x)Core Gravity Bridge.

Currently, there are 4 active proposals to bridge the ERC20 representation of Coin98 (C98), Chainlink (LINK) token, Stasis Euro (EURS) and DAI from MakerDAO. You can vote and monitor the proposals here: https://explorer.functionx.io/fxcore/proposals

f(x)Swap is live and functioning on f(x)Core mainnet and liquidity has been added. You can check and follow up on the conversation on the Function X forum.

f(x)Wallet 2.0, the new version of f(x)Wallet has been submitted to both Google Play store and Apple App Store. The Apple App Store is still in the process, therefore there is the possibility for Android users to receive the new version first. f(x)Wallet 2.0 will come with new blockchain support Avalanche C-Chain.

There will be the option for fx address upgrade, meaning all the traditional FX addresses can be converted into the 0x to support EVM. Additionally, in the new version, you can view NFTs across different chains in a gallery design. More info will be shared in the upcoming August Hash Out.

3. FoxGaming Proposal

Loil from FoxGaming has showcased the demo of the NFT marketplace on f(x)Core. During the demo, the minting, buying, bidding and auctioning of NFTs were shown step by step. You can watch it on YouTube (the link takes you directly to the presentation)

Feel free to follow up the conversation regarding the FoXGaming proposal on Function X forum:https://forum.functionx.io/t/foxgaming-proposal-our-preview-discussion/2757

Questions from the community:

  1. (From French XCore) Does Fox Gaming intend to use version 2 of f(x)Wallet in the future as well?

Loil: Of course I have some information that we can add custom tokens on Function X EVM, so I’m in talk with the team so that we can list the Fox coin and the NFT on the f(x)Wallet so we have a smooth round up. We are also a validator and we don’t want to get the people away from f(x)Wallet, so this would be the smoothest solution. We will have it in upgrade 2.0 and then you can connect the f(x)Wallet with our marketplace holding Function X tokens and our Fox coin in one wallet, and store your NFTs.

2. (From Shady) More about f(x)Swap.

Zac: So now that f(x)Swap is live, it is the first step. The second step is bringing liquidity into f(x)Swap and the swap itself is ready. Now we need to create more pools and also the farm for f(x)Swap. We will have an analytics page which we have already finished building. Right now we are also working with a few partners to bring in more depth onto the platform. And I think for those of you that are considering to launch dApps, I really hope that most of them or many of the early ones can come from the core community because it’s somehow a first mover advantage, so to speak.

For example, French XCore proposed something very interesting, which is an auto yield farming mechanism. It’s something that the team also has in mind. But if the community wants to build first, I think we should let the community build first. And when I say the community, I meant the guys that are in this chat. Those are very active on the forum. So I would like to encourage this group of people to go for it before the larger partners come in.

That’s all for this month. Once again, thanks for your participation in this meeting.

What do you think about our All-hands Meeting in Zoom? Is it a good way for you to engage and participate? What can we do to make it better? We welcome your discussion and feedback at https://forum.functionx.io.
