FunCubator is a seed-stage VC fund focused on digital entertainment. This is a digest of major updates of our portfolio companies.
February was an atypically quiet month. Most of our companies worked hard on building and optimization, and not a lot of big events happened.
- CS:GO team reached the 22nd place in HLTV world rating after Katowice Major. Esports fans really appreciated their style: Winstrike earned 2,5X more from in-game sticker sales than during FaceIT London Major.
- Signed a partnership with Solar Power (energy drink from Heineken).
- Opened a new franchise in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
- Desirium reached top-1 of Oculus Store in two categories: Racing and Flying, Horror and Mystery.
- Desirium launched on Google Daydream VR platform.
- Partnerships with several new publishers, including test integration with Axel Springer in Spain.
- Big content update in Hello Belly app, including the favorite feature of soon-to-be parents: AR-model of the baby.
Gimme Media
- Launched the second niche community: Gimme Country.
- Start of SeedInvest crowdinvesting campaign.
