“Energetical”. This uncommon phrase is straightforward, a little unusual and yet creative in it’s feel. This is how Brigitta would describe herself in one word. And this odd word perfectly describes our Marketing and Communication Manager.

The mood in the office noticeably lifts when Brigitta enters and (loudly 😋) greets everyone she can spot. Once she jumps into a new day of planning outreach, campaign activities, or an event, she is quick to notify you of what needs to be done and is always ready with an alternative solution based on the ever-changing nature of her work.

“Every human body has parts — heart and hands and eyes — and then comes chemistry. But you know — the body starts shining not because of the heart beating, but by the dose of serotonin. Serotonin is also called the hormone of happiness. The serotonin of Funderbeam is Brigitta. As simple as that.” Kaidi Ruusalepp, founder & CEO.

Having joined Funderbeam in Summer of 2019, Brigitta explains what drew her to Funderbeam;

“I saw the job ad which felt too odd of a coincidence taking into account that I started to feel interest regarding investing. The other thing I had decided in my mind that I would like to get the feeling to work in a startup and in an international company.”

This interest in investing and working in an international start-up has been a perfect fit as she quickly stepped into a hands-on role working with companies from the UK to Singapore and all across Europe.

When not working hard to have the world talking about Funderbeam, Brigitta is an avid tennis player, practises yoga, and loves to hang with her friends. During the early months of the COVID-19, she was one of the most vocal example setters of getting out into nature and encouraging colleagues to get out from within the four walls of our homes. It can be said that Brigitta has really only 1 setting, and that is “100% on”. Be it planning company or personal events or getting energised to help a portfolio company get international news coverage, the only thing running through her head is “yes we can do it!”. We are lucky to have such an enthusiastic teammate to help encourage and celebrate our successes with.

A quote what inspires you…

People are saying that “the grass is always greener on the other side”, right? I believe that the grass is not greener on the other side. When you water your own grass, literally and figuratively, it becomes better naturally. That water helps to keep it green. A lawn with no water, dries out, becomes rough and ultimately dies all together.
