FC Talent Team here šŸ‘‹šŸ½ back with more insights into life at Funding Circle and this time, weā€™re covering benefits!

ā€˜Build Your Incredible FC Lifeā€™ was an idea that enabled us to organise our benefits into four key pillars; health, wealth, development and lifestyle. From these pillars, weā€™ve been able to show Circlers the wide range of benefits we offer in a more digestible format and have been able to signpost the support available inside and outside of work more easily.

We have used this proposition to showcase our benefits further, which weā€™ve done throughout Financial Wellbeing month, in team meetings, via our benefits platforms and via Slack. Anchoring our benefits to each of these pillars has enabled Circlers to understand the benefits available to them and make choices based on all the information provided.

So letā€™s take you a bit deeper into each one (and Iā€™ll share a few of my personal faves!):

Health

Our health pillar is all about feeling your best and enabling you to bring your full self to work and includes our Private Medical Insurance (which is a medical history disregarded policy!), digital GP, a Health Cash Plan, Dental Insurance, free Eye Tests, discounts with Hertility and a Gympass membership!

The health cash plan is one of my most used benefits in this category! As a glasses wearer, having Ā£125 a year to put towards a new pair each year is super handy! I also use it for physio treatment and covering the cost of my prescriptions!

Wealth

The aim of this pillar is to provide the financial well-being to unlock your potential! This includes a 5% Matched Pension, Life Insurance, Critical Illness, access to Octopus Money Coach, access to a free Mortgage Broker and access to discount platform Perks at Work.

I used our mortgage brokers, Charles Cameron, during my recent property purchase and had a great experience with them. Knowing I had access to them throughout my transaction and the fee was covered by FC meant I had one less thing to think about!

Development

We like to think of ourselves as a Career Accelerator here at Funding Circle and our Development pillar is there for when youā€™re ā€˜Feeling Made to Do More to Turn your Potential into the Incredibleā€™!

We all have access to a personal Learning & Development budget of Ā£300 per year which you can use to enhance your career in any way that aligns to your goals.

I have used mine this year on a learning platform specifically for Talent Acquisition professionals and we have had people spend it on Toastmasters public speaking courses and even a stand-up comedy course for a Sales Manager who wanted to get better at connecting with & engaging their team in a unique way!

Life

The final pillar is Life and at Funding Circle, we believe that if you work hard, you can play hard too!

Our benefits here include:

  • 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day for every year worked (up to 30 days)
  • Buy up to 5 days annual leave every year
  • 90 day Work from Anywhere policy
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Electric/Hybrid car scheme
  • Free coffee, breakfast and access to JustEat allowance for 2 days per week in the office
  • Enhanced parental/adoption leave, maternity leave (26 weeks) and partner leave (6 weeks)
  • Regular socials
  • Circler-led Groups

We have some amazing benefits in this category that can make a real difference to people! Our JustEat benefit is definitely our most popular in-office benefit allowing you to order lunch in the office for 2 days each week from selected restaurants in London. Itā€™s a great way to try new places and with the free breakfast and coffee, weā€™ll keep you fed and watered throughout the day!

Over this series, weā€™ll deep dive some more into some of these benefits but if you want to know more about any of them, feel free to ask any of the Talent Team and weā€™ll be happy to share more about them with you!

Until next time,

Charlene
