Going International Can be very rewarding. Traveling the world, experiencing new cultures, and creating new music can be a Rewarding Experience. When you are representing your country in a positive way, why would the experience not be rewarding?

I did some further research, and interviewed someone who went International at the age of 14.

Name: Mark Stone

Instrument played when touring: Trumpet

Countries Visited: Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Holland.

Question one: What did you do while Touring Europe?

Answer:

“In the summer of 1985 I traveled to Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Exchange Program. I performed with the Symphony Orchestra in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and France. Over a four week period, the Orchestra performed concerts for dignitaries and politicians, and for various audiences in scenic and rich historic locations.”

Question two: Was your experience with going international life changing?

Answer:

“The experience of performing for audiences in Europe was a life changing experience. From the moment arriving I found myself immersed in European life. Each day I would experience the heritage of each country. Staying with host families throughout the tour gave me the opportunity to enjoy every day experiences like trying new foods, and enjoying routine activities.”
