The more funding that is getting fed into the Performing Arts Department allows groups to have life Changing experiences as well as an upgrade. When I say upgrade, I mean that any of the Performing Arts group can refurbish uniforms, instruments, props, and equipment. Funding can also help out a Performing Arts Group with meals for students on trips and competitions, and the financial aid given to go on field trips or competitions.

According to the “National Endowment for the Arts” article, most likely the Government will use “selection procedures then write checks to artists and art institutions. Therefore the Government will distribute incentive grants and will rely on the principal of decentralization. “No one agency or institution controls more than a small percentage of the distributed.

We have only taken a look at where funding comes from for institutions, but where does the funding come from for the public Schools?

In most cases many public schools will hold fundraisers in order to purchase necessary equipment for musicals, plays, marching band shows, choir, and orchestra concerts. These fundraisers vary from fundraise genius, mattress sales, and selling chocolate or cookies. However, most Performing Arts groups will earn the very minimal amount of funds given to them by the state.
