The Hit ABC TV show Shark Tank has been around for eight years, originally airing in August of 2009. Since then 531 companies have aired on the show according to Sharkalytics — all with the hope to land a deal with one of the sharks. Of those, many were consumer products, some were technology focus startups and there was a handful that was actually franchises (based on my personal observation).

Here is a list of that handful of franchises that appeared on the Shark Tank show along with their financial requirements and fees.

  • Initial Investment: $143,400 — $344,900
  • Initial Franchise Fee: $38,500 — $38,500
  • Ongoing Royalty Fee: 8%
  • Ad Royalty Fee: 2%
