Fundr is on a mission to create equal opportunity in startup investing- but we can’t do it alone. We are excited to announce those who have joined us in our journey to make wealth creation a possibility for everyone. Get to know our accomplished board below!

Kevin Cadette

Kevin is a startup industry veteran and technology leader with over 10 years of experience in managing high-tech startup companies from inception to going public. He is the Executive Director of Black Angels Miami, a company focused on exposing diverse angel investors to spectacular early-stage companies. He works to connect investors with founders and opening the door to the technology startup eco-system to people of all races, creeds, and orientations.

Waziri Garuba

Waziri is the Founder/CEO of Harlem Labs, a Management Consulting firm that supports non-profits, medium-sized organizations with unique challenges and fast-growing B2C companies looking to achieve their first $1M in annual sales. Prior to launching the Harlem Labs, Waziri spent a decade trading equities and working on renewable energy investment deals in New York.

Mona Halem

Mona is CEO of Lady Luck Entertainment one of Toronto’s pre-eminent entertainment companies, which has been crucial in the development of Toronto nightlife. Mona’s work extends beyond nightlife. She provides access to private investors and projects alongside facilitating discreet business affairs with clients.

Moaz Hamid

Moaz is a mission-driven technologist and strategist, focusing on the role of Robotics and AI in the future of jobs and medicine. He is the founder and CEO of MvmtAi, a health tech startup, and has deep roots within the tech industry having worked with Google, Microsoft, HTC, Skype and Samsung.

Shane Kelly

Shane believes that technology and content inspire the imagination — and imagination will cultivate a more equitable economy. Shane is a film finance executive and a tech investor. Overall, he has invested in over 20 tech startups and participated in financing over 20 feature films. He has also immersed himself in the application of artificial intelligence to mitigate human bias in venture investment decision-making and iterative startup strategy.

Sian Morson

Sian wears many hats. She is an entrepreneur, author, investor and producer that has founded 3 tech companies, developed the award winning app Cast Beauty and has written for Urban Geekz, Black Enterprise, and Politic 365. Sian is also no stranger to the stage, having spoken at conferences like MoDev, SXSW, and Black Tech Week.

Shanita Nichols

Shanita is an accomplished Los Angeles-based startup attorney with her own practice, where she provides strategic advice and legal work to entrepreneurs starting from pre-incorporation to funding, commercialization and final exit. Shanita is also the Co-Founder of two businesses; Sip & Sonder, a black woman-owned entrepreneurial and creative hub, and the LA Black Investors Club, a nonprofit organization which serves as a conduit to venture creation, capitalization, and capacity building for diverse communities.

Jenny Tcharnaia

Jenny is a Toronto-based entrepreneur, investor, and acquirer of software businesses. Jenny leads a corporate development team at Constellation Software, a top-ranked strategic acquirer of vertical market software businesses. When she is not working with Constellation Software, she is advising triMirror a 3D virtual fitting software startup which she co-founded all while working on her MBA at Columbia Business School.

Rachel West

Rachel leads the early stage investment team at RevTech Ventures, an early stage VC firm that invests in concepts and technologies that reinvent modern retail. She brings robust experience across technology and public policy, including stints at award-winning global boutique tech consulting firm, an A.I.-based recruiting startup, and one of America’s most influential think tanks.
