Our Roadshow Continues: Istanbul & Athens
At Further Network, we believe the power of events and conferences and try to attend all the major industry-related ones in order to build relationships, exchange knowledge, and get to explain how Further Network is changing the future of the travel industry.
After the World Blockchain Forum and The Aviation Festival in London; we continued our journey to Ground Handling International African Conference, in Kigali, Rwanda between 11–13th September. And last week, we headed to Istanbul with the enthusiasm to “shake things up” there, too.
In Istanbul, we attended Blockchain Fest ’18 (18th-19th of September) and UTIKAD The Summit of Future (19th of September). For its second year, Blockchain Fest ’18 which was organized by KOOP, a financial innovation platform in Turkey, has seen a lot of attention from both Blockchain enthusiasts and people from a range variety of industries. In addition to sharing our vision with the visitors at the Further Network booth; as one of the speakers; our CTO Erdem Üney had taken the stage with the “Industry Use Case: Travel and Ticketing” presentation and talked about the use case scenarios and the general problems about the industry, explaining Further Network’s proposed solution.
UTIKAD (Association of International Forwarding and Logistics Service Providers) Logistics of The Future Summit consisted of a series of conferences in which, the future of the logistics sector was addressed in all aspects and has brought the logistics industry together with the latest technologies. Our CEO Kadir Ozgür Oğuz was one of the panellists and talked about how the blockchain technology can be integrated into businesses, especially Logistics.
At these previous events where we have presented Further Network’s vision, shared the key values of the blockchain-based travel industry; we saw that we draw a significant interest among the industry with our solution.
Next Destination: Athens!
In order to raise more awareness to the future of the travel industry, our journey continues. We will be attending Uzakrota Travel Summit on September 28th in Athens, which is bringing the stakeholders in travel and tourism sectors together. With our CTO Erdem Üney as one of the speakers; the summit will provide us with an unparalleled opportunity to deliver information on how the core issues -Billing, Settlement, and Payment- in the travel industry can be solved.
