Students Bring Engineering Passion — and Robots and Drones — to Annual Tech Fest in Kathmandu
Hundreds of students, tech enthusiasts and IT professionals attended Locus 2018, an event that highlights a series of technological experiments and projects by students from across the country. Students from various engineering colleges and representative of IT-based companies attended the 15th annual fair to demonstrate their projects and ideas based on different technological themes.
Among the major highlights were Robowarz, an attraction of Locus in which two robots built by students were pitted against each other, and Dronacharya, a contest in which students took their drones through a set of obstacles.
Other events during the three-day fair featured a photography competition, a Math Olympiad, Code Camp, Hackathon, tech debates, as well as talk shows and motivational figures in various tech fields.
