Fuse has always been committed to the democratization and decentralization of the network in order to ensure that the economic majority (the token holders) controls its future.

To align interests between incentivized stakeholders and our growing ecosystem, the Fuse Network validators have voted to activate delegation on our Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) protocol.

The DPoS consensus algorithm is considered to be a democratic and efficient mechanism that allows for wider participation in the governance of the network. On DPoS blockchains, anyone with a minimum-required balance can validate transactions and earn rewards. Users that wish to participate in the governance without running a validator node can delegate their stake to a validator and by that effectively “vote” with their money and get rewarded for that.

Introducing Fuse staking

Fuse token holders are now able to participate in securing and governing the Fuse Network by simply staking their Fuse tokens without having to run a validator node or acquiring technical knowledge, all in exchange for rewards. We’re thrilled to unveil that following the FIP8 network status update, Fuse token holders are now able to stake their tokens to participate in the network governance and security and earn annual percentage yield (APY) for it on our new staking dedicated staking page. Note that only Fuse tokens on the Fuse Network can be staked.

If you have Fuse tokens you wish to stake for delegation, visit the staking website. On the staking homepage, you will be greeted by an intuitive UI showing the general stats regarding staked Fuse tokens and the number of mined blocks. You will also find a list of active validators who provide the Fuse Staking and a straightforward staking API on the right-hand side where you can determine the amount of Fuse tokens you wish to stake or withdraw. Note that each validator acquires several variables, including staked amount, fee, up-time, and validator website which will help you in determining who you will delegate your tokens to.
