The collaboration will allow users who issue tokens on Fuse to leverage MintGate’s token-gating system for content access management. It will also make Fuse more attractive to the growing community of crypto content creators.

Lately, digital artists, musicians, and other content creators of increasingly high caliber have been making profitable forays into the crypto space looking for new ways of distributing art, connecting with their fans, and getting revenue. Non-fungible tokens, that represent valuable digital creations, and social tokens have been driving this new trend.

The Fuse team is committed to providing its ecosystem participants with the latest most exciting new tools as they emerge. To this end, we are pleased to announce that Fuse will be integrating with MintGate, a project that makes it easy for anyone to optimize access to their content with the use of tokens.

Allowing Content Creators to Gate Their Work with Tokens

MintGate is a blockchain-based application that allows content creators to make the content of their choice accessible only to holders of a specific token, whether it be their own token or otherwise. This is done by generating links to the content in question that only the holders of the given token can access. In the current version of the app, which can be tested here, users just have to hold the minimum number of tokens designated by the content creator in order to access their content that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Future upgrades to the platform will also allow content owners to decide whether their audiences should pay with the token in question, and they will be able to sell their tokens directly through MintGate.

How Fuse will Integrate with Mintgate

The integration of MintGate with Fuse will proceed in two stages. To start, MintGate users will be able to select Fuse Network as the platform via which they are going to manage access to their content. They will have the option to use any ERC-standard-compliant token on the Fuse blockchain or the FUSE token in addition to any other platforms supported in the near future (the Ethereum mainnet, Matic, Near, and xDai).

Later, we are planning to make MintGate available to Fuse users as an additional Studio plugin, which means that they will be able to benefit from it directly through the Studio’s convenient interface.

Pitching to Crypto Content Creators

The Fuse team is thrilled by the prospects offered by the collaboration with Mintgate. We believe that integrating with MintGate may help Fuse improve its value proposition for content creators who are starting to embrace crypto.

As crypto content creators are introduced to Fuse via MintGate, they may also become interested in using Fuse’s other functionalities or driving the emergence of new ones. Token-gating certain content via MintGate may be a major pathway for them to further benefit from the blockchain.

An Additional Tool for Fuse Communities

We are also hoping that, as part of the MintGate partnership, it will be possible to make the same tokens that power our payment communities usable for gating any content their administrators may wish to protect, without them needing to create additional gating tokens.

About MintGate

With MintGate creators and communities can create a token or key specific to them, reward them to their members for engagement, and have token holders unlock new digital experiences. A community or social token helps keep fans and members in the creator’s metaverse.
