mHealth: there’s an app for that, so why aren’t we using it?

There’s no question that the future of healthcare is digital. The rapid progress spurred by the challenges of a global pandemic and social distancing requirements are testament to that fact. In order to really know where we are going (spoiler alert: personalization and privacy will be key), we need to take stock of where we are today. The current landscape is somewhat surprising given the emphasis on technology in healthcare: a quarter of mHealth apps are only used once after their installation.
