Born from late 1990s to 2010, Gen Zers are now slowly coming of age — and they are ready to start crossing all of their favourite travel destinations off their bucket list. According to Fast Company’s study, they already make up a quarter of the world’s population and will account for 40% of all consumers by 2020! Although sharing digital savviness and desire for authentic experiences, they are not to be mistaken with their generational predecessors — Millennials, the current indisputable leaders in setting today’s world travel trends. However, Gen Zers are on the rise and it won’t be long until they start to take over the travelling scene.

One of the world’s travelling trends that only seems to be getting stronger with every generation is the view of travelling as an integral part of one’s life. Taking a flight to the other side of the world for work, visiting their loved ones or discovering new unique destinations will seem as ordinary to Gen Zers as meeting up for drinks with friends at a nearby bar. If Millennials were the first global generation, Generation Z will be even more global, born with the need to venture, explore and stay connected with the rest of the world at all times.

Gen Zers’ yearning for connection is clearly seen in all aspects of their lives, but especially in how they experience travel — from exploring different cultures to going on unique adventures, Gen Zers always seek opportunities to try out new things and engage with others on an authentic level, all with the purpose to gain better understanding of humanity as well as the entire planet. They love exploring other people’s realities, seeing the world through their eyes, creating connections and learning something new they can carry with them their entire lives. Seeing travelling as a such life-altering experience, it is not surprising to discover just how passionate they are about it; according to Expedia’s study, 71% of Gen Zers would get a part-time job to save money for a trip and 49% would even go as far as to sell some of their clothes or furniture just to save some money for travelling!

Well, beloved Gen Zers, our fellow travel addicts, we see your passion and we truly admire it. But before you put your next precious belonging for sale on the Let go app, listen to what we have in store for you — imagine a world, where you could save up money for new trips while on your travel adventure, discovering new cultures and exploring the world off the beaten track. A world where you would get rewarded for simply sharing your travel experiences with others. Can you imagine how many troubles would cease to exist, not to mention all the free time you would gain, which you could easily spend going on more travel adventures? Well, this dreamy world will soon become a reality with the launch of Futourist app, where all travel enthusiasts will finally be able to live out their passions by following a simple principle: travel, review, get paid, and then travel some more! Can I get a hell yeah?! 😎
