Spokane Django Girls 2017

Django Girls is a free programming workshop for women and non-binary people interested in learning the basics of programming on Sept. 29 in downtown Spokane..

This workshop is friendly and supportive, designed for beginners so attendees do not need any previous programming experience to participate.

Attendees benefit from coaching in small groups as they work through the programming tutorial. They will be learning to code in Python, using the Django framework to build and launch their very own personal blog website all in just one day!

The event is organized by Future Ada, a local non-profit supporting women and non-binary individuals in science, technology, engineering art, and mathematics (STEAM).

Lunch and snacks will be provided by local sponsors. The coaches are local programers and STEAM enthusiasts. Laptops will be provided for those without their own, generously donated by Eastern Washington University to Future Ada for this and other future STEAM workshops.

Space is limited! Applicants need to apply in advance to secure their spot in this super fun, supportive, and friendly workshop!

For more information and to apply to attend the workshop go to: https://djangogirls.org/spokane/

Django Girls Spokane is accepting sponsorship to help cover the costs of snacks, decorations, books, and giveaway swag for the attendees. Please direct sponsorship inquiries to: spokane@djangogirls.org.
