Mindfulness could be catching, and mindfulness multiplied just might transform society, which seems so stressed and contentious today.

Violence, unfortunately, seems to spark more of the same. But so does peacefulness — especially calm, focused attention in the form of meditation, mindfulness or prayer, prescribed and practiced throughout history.

Now science is beginning to evaluate.
