Heavenly wisdom

Ancient guidance for how to identify true wisdom

I’ve never really noticed this verse from the book of James before, but it offers some very profound insight on what we might call heavenly wisdom:

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17, NIV)

I wonder how many Tweets, Facebook discussions, and comments on news articles and blogs would pass this checklist.
