Cutting-edge startups in Catalyst NYC

This applicant cycle, the NYU Data Future Lab saw a wide variety of startups across healthcare, enterprise, and consumer. What they all have in common: They’re game-changing companies tackling complex problems with data-focused solutions, top talent, and single-minded commitment.

It’s been a strong year at the NYU Data Future Lab, and we’re ending 2020 on a high note. This month, we welcome our newest cohort of Catalyst NYC, our six-month, equity-free accelerator helping pre-seed/seed-stage startups scale. Through the program, startups have access to pro-bono billable office hours with law firm Orrick, credits from gold-standard partners like Amazon Web Services, access to START-UP NY tax-free status (especially useful for companies growing their teams), for-credit internships bringing in a talented pipeline of NYU students, and more. A no-cost, equity-free program spanning 6 months, Catalyst NYC is a selective one. Alums of the programs include policy prediction platform Skopos Labs (raised $4M seed), commercial real estate securities marketplace LEX Markets (raised $4M seed), student aid financial disbursement platform Edquity (raised $2.4M seed), and other industry-transforming companies.

In the two years we’ve been running Catalyst NYC, we’ve only accepted 6 startups at a time. These are, however, unprecedented times, but, in some ways for us…
