Our country needs serious help. But the path to a better America can feel so big, it’s hard to know where to even begin. But we have a big secret… government — good or bad — starts at the state level.

In November, we helped elect nine inspiring new delegates in Virginia — among 17 who signed the pledge to achieve America’s Goals!

And yesterday, they proved us right. The Virginia General Assembly expanded the state’s Medicaid program, ensuring that 400,000 Virginians will get access to the health care they deserve. This marks a giant step for Virginia — and a big one for America, too.

We couldn’t be prouder of the 17 America’s Goals pledge signers in Virginia who took Medicaid expansion over the finish line. These powerhouse legislators are showing the rest of the country that better healthcare is a value worth fighting for and it’s a fight that can be won:

  • Del. Lashrecse Aird
  • Del. Hala Ayala
  • Del. John Bell
  • Del. Jeffrey Bourne
  • Del. Karrie Delaney
  • Del. Kelly Fowler
  • Del. Jennifer Carroll Foy
  • Del. Wendy Gooditis
  • Del. Elizabeth Guzman
  • Del. Patrick Hope
  • Del. Chris Hurst
  • Del. Kaye Kory
  • Del. Mike Mullin
  • Del. David Reid
  • Del. Kathy Tran
  • Del. Cheryl Turpin
  • Del. Schuyler VanValkenburg

The change our country needs can happening. It happened in Virginia. And it can happen in every state across the country.
